Game Controller

Game Controller

Many years ago, some friends and I built an arcade cabinet out of an old ping pong table. It ended up in the corner of our office. I decided I wanted one for myself, but couldn't bring myself to spare the floor space for such a big object. Instead, I built just the controller - something I could lug around, throw on a coffee table, and have an impromptu Street Fighter tournament with friends.

The buttons and sticks are genuine Sanwa. The top is 1/16th aluminum, and the holes were drilled by hand with a step drill. Most of the wood is scrap plywood from another project, held together with 3d-printed blocks. You can see my old Rostock printer in the corner of one of the shots below. The 'insert coin' buttons on the front light up.
